Mike2
Hello, again.Could you tell me how easy it is to add this http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ITAG=SPEC&ModuleNo=22965&doy=12m3#specto a circuit, and use it as a On/Off switch via the remote/Transmitter. There seem to be quite a few connectors but surely they don't all need to be used for what I want.Thanks.
audioguru
The "typical application" schematic on the datasheet is too fuzzy to see how to connect it.
Mike2
Can you not tell from page 4 on the spec sheet? Where it tells you the connectors.Theres also this one: http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ITAG=SPEC&ModuleNo=35628&doy=12m3#specThanks. audioguru
They say data is transmitted and received. They say it must be programmed.I don't know how it does these things.
Mike2
Hmm, OK, how easy is it to make a remote? or does anyone know of a simple circuit that can be used, or is used??
audioguru
You could make a simple infrared remote receiver that won't work in sunshine but would respond to the remote transmitter for the TV, the TV cable box, DVD player, CD player, and almost every other remote transmitter. You could make a complicated infrared remote receiver and transmitter that have their own "password".How about stealing the radio control system from a radio controlled micro car. There are projects on the web showing how. Two frequencies are available.
Mike2
Anything simple would be good, I found this:http://www.hackersbench.com/Projects/ding-dong/index.htmlModifying a wireless doorbell... not sure how successful I would be at doing it.
