low voltage timer w 3 events per day

looking for low voltage ( 3 or 4 batteries ... 4.5 to 6 V ) circuit that will cycle 3 outputs ( very low power ... only led's load ) per day.

put more simply : 
10:00  led 1 on  led 2 off
18:00  turns led 1 & 2 on
02:00  led 1 off  led 2 on

You are looking for a modulo 8 counter. Look for information regarding this name and you will have what you need to send out the pulse every eight hours. The LED part is easy. You have a binary count of 1, 2, 3.
