HMSBeagle
Hello All.Yesterday our water heater failed catastrophically. This resulted in a puddle of water several inches deep, in the middle of which was, of course, our brand new oil furnace. I'd like to rig a moisture alarm to the outlet that the well pump is plugged into so that current to the well pump is cut off when moisture is detected. There seem to be plenty of moisture alarm kits and plans out there, but I have no idea how to connect one to a 110 V outlet to cut the power when it's activated. Any ideas? Thanks!Matt
ante
Hi Matt (in your soaking socks) ;DYou need a relay to interface between the moisture alarm kit and the power line for the pump.
