leedude Posted May 7, 2007 Report Share Posted May 7, 2007 hi, i have been reading a lot of articles on the web about preamps. consider the schematic on this page: http://www.till.com/articles/GuitarPreamp/wouldnt that just give a fluctuating DC output(like wave2.bmp), instead of AC(like wave1.bmp)?please help, i dont get this. audioguru Posted May 7, 2007 Report Share Posted May 7, 2007 The output is supposed to be an AC signal with an average DC voltage of 0V.The article says, "C1 is a coupling capacitor to remove DC from the output."
