Square Wave Driver IC

I am looking for a driver IC that can do the following:

- Battery Input (1.5V-6V)
- Clean AC Square Wave output (100-160Vp-p)
- Frequency: capable of <100Hz
- Some external components are fine
- Low power consumption
- Driving a capacitive load (5nF+)

Really the only things that I am finding are EL lamp drivers, but the output waveform is not ideal with most of them. If there are no IC's out there, then I suppose I could just design my own circuit. Any thoughts on that would help too. Just thought I would check for an all in one package first.

I doubt you'll find an IC that can you all of that.

It sounds like an EL driver is exactly what you need.

Why is the wave form shape important?

What exactly is it you're driving?

Operation down to 1V (a 1.5V alkaline cell in the discharged state) is the real killer. You need to use a boost converter to increase the voltage to just over 6V, that way the output voltage can be independent of the input voltage.

The wave shape is going to be a problem because you need s transformer that can pass a very wide range of frequencies without resonances messing he waveform up.
