thanks for the reply, however I have seen those sites and they are a parts - request - service, I have used them earlier today but dont expect much from them
there must be an alternative part I can use - but I guess I would need to know the spec sheet to see what the current part...

Im looking to replace a damaged - 12082LNRX - transistor , ( made by APT )
however I can not find one anywhere, and am thinking there must be an alternative I could use ?
the transistor has come from a high voltage step up board from a 1990s CRT projector...
