    Some front load washing machines here in Australia have brush style motors that vary there speed. There speed is controlled by a tacho generator mounted on the back of the shaft fed to the controller. Thats one way of having speed stability with varying loads.

    I find most generators that are thrown out have failed inverters not engines. Out of all ivefound in the scrap yard there was only one with a good inverter. But check on ebay as there is ocasionaly an inverter for sale second hand, personaly i wouldnt risk buying one.

    Garantee the Inverter block is faulty Same thing hapened to one of my inverter generators. I eventualy found a generator in the scrap yard with a engine that threw con rod. Used its inverter to get mine going again.

    I use a AGM 50AH 12V battery for my 12v Hookah as its reasonably light & gives plenty of dive time. Lithium batterys tend to be easily damaged if flattened too far. By the time you notice your not geting enough air its probably not good for the Lithium battery.

    The transformer in the video is not a SMPS type, its a mains type 50/60Hz. That test is no good for a SMPS T/F as they run at a mutch higher frequency.

    Yes its junk, common fault with inverter modules. And it can happen to any brand generator.

    The last generator i had that failed with shorted turns had plenty of smoke issuing from the windings. & loaded the engine.
