basically I want to make a better traction control for off-roading.
I want to control say a liner actuator or something alone those lines from a wheel rotation speed difference.
Kris you may have just inadvertently given me the solution, its 5:30 am and I misread your post for a second.

Hi guys,
is there a component which will give say.. a resistance increase when the device is spun at a certain speed.
A bit like a trigger wheel with a hall sensor, but rather than a high/low output from sensing the teeth of the trigger wheel... a resistance at a certain speed.

Think your a lil over the max output on the driver 10x300ma=3A, Also the battery wont last to long with that load, is it more of a torch than a flood light?
I think your biggest issue would be writing the software to translate the inputs into a useful display.
There's also devices you can use to expand the IO ports on the PI.
Thanks for the reply Duke, that may have given us a solution to the dwell timing, before I was going to have to design a time delay to account for low voltage and dwell angle.
Hi guys, new to the forum and thought I'd say hi and share my lil project I'm going to start.
I've had a Discovery 1 for about 4 years now I believe, and 2 years of that was spent rebuilding it, which included the Rover 3.5 v8.
