    well I checked it and all, and it works fine...there is a triac (voltage regulator?) as they call it on the pcb. I don't know if this is normal or not, and it caqn't be a cap, as the caps are the main parts that make it work, And it works fine...

    Hi, I recently decided to buy some of these Velleman kits in order to improve my soldering skills. I made the IR light barrier and it worked fine...but that is only 9VDC. This one is the stroboscope (K5300)and it runs of 110VAC! I was scared but plugged it into that wall...AND IT WORKED!!! I...

    polarity help!

    The clock only has one speaker, the other side is just for looks :p:rolleyes: so, What i did with the jack was connect the left and right speakers because otherwise the sound would only end up comming from one computer speaker. I'll have a picture of the pcb this morning, have to goto bed...

    polarity help!

    The speakerss are not pluged into any pcb, just the wall adapter and I know that the jack goes ground, left and right positive. I don't know if the polarity even matters in this case because sound quality doesn't matter.
