a more simple request (was solar / relay / timer control thread)

yes - the new way is to monitor only one current and if that current exceeds a certain level then break the current and wait 15 minutes then go back to monitoring the current. thats all i want.

a more simple request (was solar / relay / timer control thread)

thanks for the post! currently if i set it up the new way i have spoke about then i'm only dealing with the one circuit which will open for fifteen minutes it if the load exceeds the set amperage then return to the closed position and wait for the amperage spikes to fade after the compressor and...

a more simple request (was solar / relay / timer control thread)

after seriously thinking about my original request and the replies i received i'm almost positive i can end up with 80 to 90% of my goal with many less issues. let me start fresh and just trash the original plan. this is what i want: if amps at 120 volt > (selected amount, 0 to 15) then...

need help going green and willing to pay for help! solar / relay / timer control

i need the ability to Ah, but in my proposed layout i'm not redirecting the inverter Output (after anit-islanding) i am redirecting the inverter Input (before the anti-islanding), i used the green R1 R2 & R3 to show the location for (+) on the three inverter circuits and i proposed to run 12V...

This is the best drawing i could do and had to take an excel file and make it a pdf

there are three of these inverters. three 230w solar panels feed each of the three micro inverters. nine panels for the AC unit. the three micro inverters power the AC compressor. you can see the wires coming in to the front on this one inverter, they come from the panels. on the back of each...

YES the array-inverters could and would back-feed into the house if the power produced was not consumed by the running compressor. Because or the array size and the compressor draw this will never happen. As previously stated the circuit from the solar array is not complete when the...

let me chirp in if i may. first i want to THANK EVERYONE for any and all comments. i know all of you typically deal with other electrically educated forum members. i know it's obvious i am not, none-the-less you have shown me patience and respect. i am grateful and i can't express enough how...

no that is not what i want. as we have it set up currently - the AC unit will pull from the grid & the array-inverters (some of each) to run. it's always using some of each because the array at it's best moment will produce just shy of what the compressor needs so any short fall is always...

these are absolutely grounded - per code. yes i have multiple inverters. each inverter has three panels at 230w. three of these sets come together after the inverter outputs and go the AC unit. we're making this a bigger thing then it is. i just want to read from the combined inverter outputs...

The inverters do sync themselves with the grid phase.

i would love to be able to draw you a diagram but the only class i have ever had that dealt with electric was in 5th grade and that was over 45 years ago. your right the handler is tied to the mains and not the solar. ONLY the compressor is tied to the solar inverter and the compressor is ALSO...

you just went over my lay person head. i just replied to another reply which explains how it's wired. i hope that helps you - help me.

your right on it. the panels are connected to the AC unit and when the AC unit is on then the power from the inverters can be drawn and consumed. YES the AC unit is also tied to the grid. if the AC unit is turned off then the power from the array does not feed the house / grid - it won't feed...
