OK, I'm maybe late.... BUT, in the original specs, the IRF840 is Used perfectly Correctly (not the ZN75... thingy) Why ? Because it has a RDsOn maybe poor But à Vds of 500V ! It makes use of a 400V power rail, and No transformer. Like with everything, sorry to be pedantic, but people, please RTFM
