AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

Question regarding fuses, with this dc-dc converter 12v in, 19v out, do I need to fuse the input and output?

AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

What would you say is the best way to push the limits of this DC Converter? I know a lot of people will use light bulbs. There are 24v 250watt bulbs, but then I'd need to add an additional buck boost converter in the mix as well. Just curious if you have any recommendations.

AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

well, I soldered everything back together. I could pickup one of those clamps to measure through. I did pickup two different DC converters, one is 19v @ 10amps, the other is 19v @ 15amps.

AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

So tested the current tonight, 1.3amps. Now, this monitor has a lot of functionality including recording to an SSD drive, so I don’t doubt it has the ability to utilize a high current load, but I highly doubt it will come close to 10amps. Thankfully I don’t use a lot of those features so I...

AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

okay, I'll have to figure out how to put it in series, I've don't it before with other things, but not finished cords might have to desolder something, for some reason I was hoping for a better option.

AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

sorry, I misunderstood your statement @Delta Prime. @kellys_eye i have to be honest, with this kind of six pin connector I’m not sure I know how measure the actual current. What would you suggest? I think I’ll order that $40 converter and see what happens. I’ll plug in into my bench supply and...

AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

That’s the thing, I’m looking for a solid solution that will not fry the monitor, but also doesn’t cost 700. I’m fine paying half that if someone can help me find a solution.

AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

What are your thoughts on using something like this? https://www.madhornets.com/12v-to-19v-10a-190w-dc-dc-boost-step-up-power-converter-voltage-regulator-module/ I don’t need it to run constantly, just 15-20mins at a time, plus I have a lot of batteries.

AC Power Adaptor Pinout // Adapt to battery power

I have a monitor I use for work (motion/photo) and I'd love to be able to use it with my cine batteries which are 14.4v / 12amp batteries. There is a company that makes a special adaptor but its $700, I have to believe this can be worked out for cheaper. The monitors power supply is rated 19v...

    PWM Controller Guidance

So I'm working on a project that uses a manual pot controlled PWM controller. The controller needs to be able to slow a 12v motor driven peristaltic dosing pump. I've run tests using several different controllers found online and this one in particular works very well!! What I don't like...
