I have a midland VHF model 70-1495b 110 watts the unit was keyed manny times without an antenna connected. Now it's lost most of its power yet it draws 17 amps. I believe it might be a shorted capacitor. But I don't now we're to start.
Unit only produces 20 watts instead of 110.
