    Thats the thing with alkaline batteries though is that they have a really long shelf life. I doubt you'll see any heavy duty batteries with half the experation date of an alkaline battery.

    I have this same problem with a large cabinet amp. I will try this suggestion and see if it works. I think I might have to replace the reverb pot ( not sure if thats what it's called, I'm a newb)
