    kellys_eye, Thank you for your prompt response. Waterproofing won't be a problem. I will fabricate the ring from 6061-T4 AL with a Buna-N O-ring seal (https://www.mcmaster.com/#o-rings/=18jbzk6). I will pot the wires into the ring, similar to how they pot buck converters, marine bilge floats...
