    Treadmill potentiometer/pwm?

For the PWM pin you should do a trace of the the pins and if like the MC2100, there should be a 4 pin Opto isolator that then goes to the processor. On the MC2100 ver. the series resistor is quite small value, so most interfaces require an added series res the value depends on the voltage used...

    Treadmill potentiometer/pwm?

I don't really have any knowledge of the MC5100 series, but I would surmise that LG1 is a GND connection, try metering it to LV common or the chassis. As to the 12pin HD2 the PWM normally goes to a small value resistor then to a 4 pin opto, on the MC2100 it is pin 1 (Common) and pin 4, PWM in...

    Treadmill potentiometer/pwm?

Appears you have a version of it, MC5100, looks almost identical to the MC2100's. It also appears to have the same HD2, 8 pin socket that takes the PWM command signal. Previously used to interface the console. The motor and power connections are plainly marked.

    Treadmill potentiometer/pwm?

The two blue wires are usually a thermal sensor in the motor. The MC2100 versions use a PWM 20Hz signal into HD2 socket to emulate the console signal. There are 555 circuits out there, I also made some up using a 8pin picmicro. with stop start P.B. inputs. With MC2100 the input is isolated from...

Help converting lathe from 110v to 220v?

Have you followed the directions on the plate for the required direction for 240v operation, seems like just a jumper change?

    220v leg isolation

You would need to rewire using the 120v live and neutral, but proper fusing and sufficient current carrying capacity of the motor relay would have to be confirmed. Why not try a new capacitor on the current motor, it did not last very long?? BTW the capacitor should be in series with a winding...

how to go from one power source to many power sources

You don't specify any requirements? Voltage(s) current(s) etc?? I have done some thing under that general description with a Toroidal linear supply and some overwinds/secondary's. You have the choice of shared commons or galvanically isolated. Do you require regulation?

    Mains quick testers.

You only have to travel ~50mls for a different accent in the UK. As an ex UK pat by birth, I have had a yearning for Crumpets, so I have had to resort to making my own, as they do not know anything about them in Canada. Just like Marmite, the only ones that can even get it past their lips has to...

Closed loop for two brushless motors

For some many decades now I have been using the popular quadrature encoder for PID servo loop feedback. And In DIY products using them with the likes of the Galil motion cards, where the encoder response feedback is in the order of 18mhz now.

    American 220 wall heater problem...

You cannot calculate the amperage of a AC inductive device (e.g. motor) from a resistance reading. It possesses inductive reactance which reads a lot higher than the DC resistance, this is what limits the current

    American 220 wall heater problem...

In N.A. it is 240v 120v-0v-120v. The 240 v is the same as 2x120v. The thermostats do not appear to be voltage sensitive, so any equivalent should suffice.

    AC motor question

Appears that motor has a left hand threaded shaft, often not reversed in the actual application due to the unthreading action. If the windings are equal however, it should be electrically reversible.
