    Small space? What size are your tanks or carboys? If this is small batch's, I simply have a enclosure just the size of the carboys and use a small office under desk foot warmer thermostatically controlled. Does the job as it keeps the enclosure at a constant temp. M.

    If not running the set for a period of time, the next time it is to be used, take the back off in a darkened area, switch on and check for visible arcs occuring and this would be the spot to clean and possibly apply a HV sealant. M.

    If it is caused by disuse in a damp atmosphere causing HV arc-over, then one resolution would be to either switch it on for periods more frequently or have a way to dry it or air it out before use. Simple. M.

    Weird things now with the new set up as to Log in, My avatar shows at the top right, and says I am logged in, but when I go to post it shows must log in, and when I do it say I am now logged out, now I have to log in the normal way, in spite of the avatar showing and my user name.?? Minder.

    Unless the arc over is prolonged, it is probably OK, but if subjected to prolonged non-use in a damp condition, best to place in a warm spot and dry out any moisture first. If left, eventually it could cause tracking damage depending where the problem occured. M.

    I checked with a friend of mine who has a position of authority in the provincial Hydro and he said definitely impossible to get 3ph in a residential building here. (Canada). M.

    Sounds to me as it might have been an arc (snap) on the HV somewhere due to damp atmosphere after one month non-use. After running it, it dried out . M.
