Oldie but a goodie: Tektronix 7L12 SA repair

There are a lot of very good Tektronix-centered web-sites you can Google. Guys with specifric Tek experience (and schematics) hang-out on them. We're good here, but for such a specific question about Tek gear, you'll probably get the best help there.

    prototyping PCB boards

It boils down to cost vs. your time to do the job. How many are you making, how much trouble is it to do-it-yourself, or invest the time in a search for the product you need? These are all things you have to decide for yourself depending on your situation.

    34063 voltage drop

I think KJ6EAD pegged the problem. The inductance of the relay coils is probably the issue (although daveen's point is well recognized). It may be as simple as a more robust (higher current output) power supply.

    Causing a city-wide blackout?

Power grids in the vast majority of cities are computer controlled. That's the obvious answer. Any creation that envisions a hack or problem with the computer-controlled electrical grid will do the job.

    I'd check the Weller website.

help 20" goldstar crt t.v no contrast

It may be as simple as the contol itself. Is this a manual knob, a button operating an integrated circuit potentiometer, or a problem with the control on the remote, which could be a dirty switch contact that's the cause of the issue? The model number of the TV might help.

    Sense turning

If there were, it would be pretty expensive. What you need to do, is use a tach, married to a circuit built to do what you want it to do. A little more specific information might help put you on the best path to persue this.

    water level indicator

Make sure your grounds are correct. As poor mystic mentioned, make sure you're not picking-up stray current flows. If you've got a voltmeter hooked-up to your circuit, disconnect it for circuit operation. Any strong electromagnetic fields in the vicinity of your circuit, move them (Power...

    BNC output to laptop

Sometimes it's a lot of work to find information, and sometimes people here are busy with other issues and don't have time to look for information. But in all cases. It is extremely helpful if you identify what devices are involved by make and model number. We can look those up. Your...

DVD Movie I made will not play

As *steve* said. If you intend to do this often, ensure your recorder (burner) format is compatible with your play-back device. There may be programs to compensate for what you did in this case, but I don't know. I use Sony and Toshiba actual DVD recorders, not a computer. They play back on...

Obviously, it depends on where you're at, and what your 'transmitter' is.

    Motor spluttering at low speeds

I'd be looking at the dial. Whatever your controller is, a potentiometer probably. I know you said all the contacts you can see are clean. This sounds to me, like dirty or worn contacts inside your dial controller, which I think would be a rheostat or potentiometer. Have you looked at what...

    Part Identification

US car manufacturers put their own part numbers on their devices. If you can find anything on it, it'll be in reference to the Ford part numbering system.

    Is this possible?

And who's monitoring air-traffic control when everybody else is doing the same thing? Traffic accidents on the ground are bad enough, imagine the issues with air collisions.

amps audio jack 1/4 stereo switch

I don't KNOW, but this sure sounds like it's designed to be used for whatever input signal is needed. Particularly, because it's an older system, my guess is it was designed when both mono and stereo were frequently used (1960's & 70's). If the user had a mono input, you'd use the right...

Sunbeam Heated Mattress Pad Won't Stay ON

First, your husband damaged your controller so that you'd move over to his side of the bed to stay warm at night. (I wish I'd thought of that first) Do you have the manual, or is there an on-line manual for your pad that you can check for troubleshooting issues? The manual should tell you...

    EMF Sensing

I get it. He's got a ghost hunter EMF meter. It makes a noise when it's near a voltage source. His issue is that he's wondering why, as he gets it closer to a voltage source, the meter makes a louder noise. I'm checking my manual on Mr. Spock's tricorder right now, to diagnose the issue.

    Relay hunt!

What I would do, is Google other relay manufacturers, and see if any of them list a cross reference to the relay you're looking for. After, I Googled your relay number for a cross reference.
