    Squawk Box

You can't create the noises you suggest it makes without something more sophisticated than a few old transistors...... Something is missing from the equation.

    Regulator-Controller for 400 VDC

It would be far easier to get a separate inverter (non-grid tied) to power your house in that case. I doubt there would be any difference in cost and it would be CERTAINLY more cost effective than trying to build (safely) a device to control the battery output!

    Yusynth metaliser

Note that the output op-amp is a rail-to-rail device (output can swing to either supply rail) and that if you require the output waveform to reach these levels (for onward voltage-control of anything) then you won't be able to.

    Need suggestion for thermostat circuit

Ok, simple circuits are a-plenty via Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=thermostat+schematic&client=ubuntu&hs=r8i&channel=fs&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiNiqCktPHaAhUUWsAKHQqiA-8QsAQIKA&biw=1855&bih=1079 but the module I suggest is basically 'one component' and if you can...

Need Help regarding Yamaha RXV371. No Sound Output

Connector OUT. Measure the supplies with respect to 0V (analogue ground where the supplies are stated to be for the analogue circuitry and digital ground where they are otherwise noted)

    regulating power from solar bank

In order to keep any power supply operating 'safely' (thermally and 'stressly') you should always aim for a 50% lee way in capacity so if you 'need' 200W then purchase 300W. Efficiency works in many ways though - how 'inefficient' is it to purchase a converter that has only one specific use as...

    Laser toner refills

Interesting to note. I suppose, given the manufacturers propensity to extract every pound of flesh they can from consumable prices, they have to have SOME form of wriggle-room.....

Need Help regarding Yamaha RXV371. No Sound Output

Are those voltage measurements with the connectors fitted or removed? Measure using a proper, designated, 0V point and NOT the chassis (which may well be isolated/earthed)

i have a mag 254 that shots off every 2 hours , i wait for half hour and then i reload and works 2

guessing??? To the OP - try not to emulate your username....... https://www.amazon.co.uk/254-Latest-Original-Linux-IPTV-Black/dp/B00YDVBGG4 Try relocating it to somewhere with a better airflow/cooling. I'm guessing it's either stuck in a cubbyhole or on top of the TV?

    Regulator-Controller for 400 VDC

If you don't want to send your power to the grid, don't connect it to the inverter. The cost of such a device would far outweigh any benefits you receive.

    regulating power from solar bank

Buck - output is lower than the input Boost - output is higher than the input Buck-boost - best of both worlds, does both! By far the easiest solution is to use an inverter - which can be dual-purposed to some other task when not using the XBox

PCB mounted transformer How to identify?

The usual fault with capacitors is that their internal resistance rises which requires a special device to measure. When it gets 'real bad' the capacitors can bulge or even explode but a bad one might simply 'look' ok and you'd never know. But, as you have discovered, SMPS's aren't the easiest...

    Need suggestion for thermostat circuit

I have purchased and used a simple digital readout thermocouple controlled switch like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-pre...hash=item239b91d3a9:m:mPkQPvgXXvQF0StGvtUrNdQ it works from -50 to +110C, can switch at rising or falling temperatures, has adjustable hysteresis etc and for the...

PCB mounted transformer How to identify?

The transformer is unlikely to be at fault - they rarely fail and if they do they usually do so with some 'proper' signs of failure like melted tape and burned wiring. What you have is a typical SMPS board - complete spare boards are often available and for those with fault symptoms if you...

    Laser toner refills

We've used an old Kyocera mono laser for years, refills are (figuratively) 10 a penny. Used to have a big old HP4a before getting the Kyocera which was part of an eBay sale I won - a pallet full of mono and colour laser printers (must have been around 15 of them) for 99p one time! Some you...
