    Your kit from ebay is a time delay OFF kit. You want one that's DELAY ON. Since it's a kit, you may be able to modify it, but they make both a delay 'on', and a delay 'off', time delay relay type. Just in case you didn't notice.

    Look into TDR's (Time Delay Relay). They're nice because the control circuitry is self-contained, which makes it a lot easier to integrate into your system.

    Depends on what you're soldering. For mil spec work, they tell us not to exceed 620 degrees F. (But if you have larger components, you'll find you want to up the temperature so you don't have to wait so long for the solder to melt.)

    The MTP3N40 crosses to and IRF720 If you're pretty sure you've got an IRF741 in your circuit, either: 1) you've got a revision I don't have a manual for, or 2) somebody intalled the wrong part, and that's what blew-up your circuit. good luck

    Somebody will probably give you an explanation that specifically adresses your systems. I'm thinking the difference may be settings for 'standard' or 'widescreen' displays. That's usually adjustable depending on the manufacturer.
