Why I haven't been posting too much this weekend.

Ouch . At least you'll get plenty of iron out of that meal! How'd you manage to do that?

    Project Logs

I've made some progress with the coding, so maybe it is possible after all :). My brain is boggled after trying to figure this one out, so will continue trying again tomorrow!

    Project Logs

It looks like getting the gallery working properly with the project log section is more difficult than I thought :( It may be that we have to use the resource manager after all, then work on custom coding the improvements over to that. How would people feel if the project log section was a...

    Project Logs

I've found a bug in the gallery part, so I'm pausing conversion until I can get this fixed :(. Hopefully won't take long!

    Project Logs

Part of the problem is that although both sections look similar, they are using different software - one of them can handle image uploads only and the other is more flexible for article-type projects. Ideally we'd have the best of both worlds, but there's not a way we can do that as we'd have to...

    Project Logs

I've enabled the project log section fully, so I'll start converting old project logs over the coming week :). Once that is done, I'll do a full and proper announcement.

    Project Logs

The image problem has now been fixed, so it looks like we're pretty much ready to go :). I'll await feedback on any changes that you'd all like to see made, so that I can tweak things before launching and converting the old project logs.

    Project Logs

I've started work on the test project log section and it should be visible to anyone logged in (although only read-only for now). I've converted one of @KrisBlueNZ 's articles as a test (I hope you don't mind :D) and I'm working on getting a few things improved with the system (as image...

    Project Logs

Well #4 seems to be a very popular option, so what I may do is come up with a beta test where people can try it out and see what they think of it. I think if we get it working well we may be able to encourage users to post more project logs, as I know that they're really interesting to read...

    Project Logs

They all have their merits, I'd probably go for either #2 because it's simple and familiar, or if it looks like project logs will really be popular, then I'd go for #4. It's a lot more work, but would look really great if we get a few new projects per week. Both #3 and #4 would have the...

    Project Logs

At the moment, we've got a project log section which allows a member to create a project thread and update it with followup posts, however it blocks replies from other members so that the project thread flows properly. At the moment, there's a separate project log discussion sub-forum where...

    Problem?

It looks like the CSS hasn't loaded properly - can you try refreshing the page and see if that fixes it please? Not sure why it didn't load, but as long as it doesn't happen again I wouldn't worry :).

    Members location

Haha, that is possible, but it would cause some other rendering problems elsewhere, as I've had to exploit some oddities to get the flag working like this. I agree it would be nice if space was saved, so I'll have a think on what I can do - it's very much in "beta" at the moment :).

    Members location

I've coded an addon this morning which may go someway toward resolving the problem :D. Check out the country flag under my avatar (only visible to members). This is requested from all new members and can be edited by existing members on this page...

    Compilation of useful electronics sites

I'm adding this right now :). Your article will always be editable, so as you discover new things or people make suggestions in this thread then please do add it (beware of new members trying to find a quick link to their site/product!) :).

    Members location

Thanks Daniel - it's always good to have site feedback :). I agree that having the user's location would be nice to have for all users, however I want to stop short of making it mandatory. From experience, if we require date of birth and location, it deters users from registering - as there are...

A tip if the "upload a file" button does nothing

The FF problem with the upload window should now be fixed :D. You may need to press CTRL+F5 to get the new JS files though.
