    Hello, One of the modifications I made to a CB set was using better filters in the IF for more selectivity of the receiver. The modification consisted of using keramic IF filters and noise-free transistors. I never used more power than was permitted. Bertus

    Hello, You should also check the local regulations for the use of a CB transmitter. It can well be that the rules will have a limit on the maximum power. In Holland where I live the maximum power allowed is 4 Watts FM or 4 Watt PEP for SSB. Bertus
