Graphic LCD : lines at the start and then off (or fully black)

What is it used in? Is the display connected via zebra strip or 'hardwired'? Do you have a schematic or pics of the display board and the parts you recently changed?

    Replacement LCD's

If the display has graphical properties (symbols etc) particular to the device and manufacturer you'll not find any replacement other than from an OEM supplier. If, however, it's a couple of lines of dot-matrix or seven-segment you might find a device that will fit.

    Super capacitor wear

Since they are used for memory back-up it would be wise to change it anyway and at around $2 why even bother testing it? http://uk.farnell.com/cornell-dubilier/edlsd334v5r5c/capacitor-super-0-33f-5-5v-75/dp/1340833

Water level sensing technique for conductive sensors

Float sensors, float switches, ultrasonic, pressure.... by using DC you are suffering electrolysis effects. Whilst 'solid' metal sensors are possible they usually rely on being driven by an AC signal to alleviate this effect.

    Power supply problem

Clearly some form of current limiting is being implemented and since the CPU etc works normally when powered from the good board then the 'bad' board itself has an issue. You need to identify the on board current limiting circuitry - I think I can see a sense resistor in the 12V line but cannot...

    Touch sensitive volume control

The processor would depend on what you're familiar with. The actual control requirement isn't difficult or processor-intensive so any of the popular platforms will work.

    Touch sensitive volume control

Is there a distinct advantage to having a touch control volume on a guitar? I would have thought it would be prone to accidental operation and mess with your performance..... The touch pots you link to won't maintain the spot resistance value you create at 'touch' so will require some...

    Pickit 3 vs Arduino uno

The Arduino is commonly used with shields, adapter boards etc whilst the PIC is used as a standalone device (IC) that will require you to manufacture the interface/hardware it is to be used with. So for learning how to control input/output devices without the attendant soldering/design work...

    RGB problem

The 'other one'....... I don't know which tape you have - equally I don't know which controller you have. Only you can tell. Check FIRST which makes/models of each that you DO have - I'm only suggesting the common anode/common cathode issue as a likely reason for it not working...

    RGB problem

Just a thought..... there are two types of RBG ribbon you can get, common cathode and common anode. The control box should match the version you have - I suspect you have the wrong one.

    Component identification

Schematic? Photo? Link even? We are always will to assist but you can;t seriously expect us to go and find 'everything' we need when you have it right at hand?

Issue in driving sensored BLDC motor

Then it can only be associated with the output ports of your driver stage assuming some, random, non-known levels at switch-on. Your reset circuit (presumably based on the 555?) at U5 and the circuit C8/C9 and D7/D8 seem to be potential causes - the volt drop across D7 in particular.

    Got anything new?

Nicely done meter and model <thumbs up>! My idea was to have a meter that was use-programmable such that the input voltage range and dial movement (plus alarm conditions) were all settable by the user via a simple USB (or serial) interface. Along with simple software to print a dial scale this...

    Salvaged components

Power supplies are something that are quite easy to acquire - I have a drawer full of them. Ex-laptop, ex-phone, ex-LCD TV etc etc, they vary between older linear (transformer) devices to modern (tiny) switched-mode units so I've always got something that will do at a pinch. But if you are...

    RGB problem

The black wire is ESSENTIAL for operation...... Is there something wrong with your getting the proper plug for it? If you want it 'hard wired' (i.e. permanently connected) then you could chop off the socket, strip the cable back and solder the connections together.

Replace catalytic element on Iroda MJ-950 heat gun?

Be prepared to hear that the catalyst isn't covered under warranty as it's a 'wearable part'....... If you're UK-based you should be covered under the Sale of Goods Act - contact the people that sold you it and complain there first. Mention your rights under the SoG Act.... it often helps.

    Gikfun 8x8x8 Blue led build

Hi-res close-up pics of your work would help. It usually comes down to basic soldering/construction errors though.

    Leaked Battery Motherboard Repair

As Davenn points out, the corrosion must be stopped/removed. I'm not entirely sure but there does appear to be a break in the track just above L3 (on the left side) but only you can tell. Have you cleaned the board as per my earlier post? Get it well coated with the baking soda solution and...

    RGB problem

The black wire may have a surplus of solder making it slightly wider than normal or the socket may have an obstruction in it however the wires really should be fitted with the correct plug to match the socket.

    Antique Automotive Resistors

...yet we have a failure to recognise an ignition ballast resistor and the purpose/action of the 'kill switch' from the OP  We return the question "We need to be assured of your intellect before we continue to post here"....
