Few Questions about Sound on Light

Ah ok thanks. But i will build the simple circuit as i 've found my missing 3 v battery holder. I'll let you know how i get on. Cheers

Few Questions about Sound on Light

Ok let me explain even though you probably know it. The diode not the Zener, is used to make sure the current is only going in one direction and not back to the battery. Also the switch makes sure the battery doesn't get used up too much. The Voltage regulator is there because the shop i go...

Few Questions about Sound on Light

Lol hey cmon give a brother a break. Anyways i've drawn up another one and it shows a VR restricting the voltage coming through from the power source. Please see the image i've attached. Thanks

Few Questions about Sound on Light

Is this just to know if there is voltage coming through for the power source only? Because i thought we were using an IR LED at 50 mA which was blue/purple in colour. But i would choose a white LED. Ok will do. Also just checking that the protection diode in the diagram is attached to the...

Few Questions about Sound on Light

Yes that is true and correct. Also to get a larger range for this i would have to get an antenna circuit right? And depending on how high the freq is depends on how far the sound will travel. Well i read that an electrolytic cap is used to filter supply rails, for coupling audio signals and...

Few Questions about Sound on Light

Do you think 50 mA or 100 mA is too much? Because I'm thinking 20 mA is too little and might not be able to even power up the LED bright enough. I've attached an updated image.

Few Questions about Sound on Light

My apologies Harald, i didn't know they were combined but i will post on the one thread from here on. Thanks

Few Questions about Sound on Light

Thanks Harald. Just wondering, can this circuit do without a power source and just uses the power of a laptop or desktop instead?

Few Questions about Sound on Light

Need help with IR LED design Hi I need some help with this circuit design. i am trying to build this circuit so then the current can go through it and out through the IR LED. It is attached. I need to know if something is wrong with it as i was advised that it needs its own source of...

    Creating Square or sawtooth waves

here are my requirements and questions: - 3 v constant supply current to the waveform generator, the amplifier and the LED circuit - An amp that increases the wave form loudness (what components do i need for the output after the amplifier? I'm afraid that the LED which comes after the...

    Creating Square or sawtooth waves

Ok thanks Harald & Steve. I have found one which confuses me as there is an fm source on this circuit going into the same component as the battery source. The file is attached.

    Creating Square or sawtooth waves

Hi, I was just playing with a software program that generates different tones (sine, square & sawtooth) and had a think about how these waves are created with components in a circuit especially if there was a wide range in hz and an amplification of 0 -1. So i'll take a guess at this: i...

    Demodulation

That's fine. I'm working on a project along those lines at the moment so if you're interested or if you know someone who's interested let me know. I'm up to the part of storing energy into a cap as in like a Li-Ion battery so i can use it for other parts in my project. Cheers

    Simple Amplifier

Wow.... well i'm planning on sending it through an LED. So the max i know is 150 mA output or something on an IR LED. Can this accommodate such a voltage or will it blow up? I have the schematic.

    Simple Amplifier

The source of the signal is a wave (sine, saw,) and i want the amplifier to boost this signal to the max while also passing on the new current created after the amplification to the output device. The wave will be based on 3 v.

    Simple Amplifier

Hi, I want to build an amplifier but i'm not sure how to so i need some guidance in this. I've attached what i started with. It's going to connect onto 2 different circuits: one that runs on 3 v and the other on 9 volts. They both should have the trimpot turned fully on for maximum output...

    Demodulation

Hey Vicki, i'm doing something similar but demodulating and then sending out through LED's. Want to work together? Let me know. Btw, crystal radio would be a good choice to start. Siilar to FM i think ...

Few Questions about Sound on Light

Thanks Steve. I would also like to build an amplifier for this. Is it possible that the current can be increased so then the amplifier can increase it even more? I'm just worried that the LED might explode.
