If you have a computer power supply lying around that has 12V pos and neg supplies you could use that to test with.
Otherwise search for something like: 12V PSU with pos and neg rails
Need to replace the abovementioned but battling to find exact match.
I have been offered this: https://mantech.co.za/ProductInfo.aspx?Item=15M3975
And the H20R1203 datasheet...
Thanks for sorting me Bluejets and dave9. I will now rebuild this battery pack. Found these (hopefully genuine) Samsungs at my regular electronics supplier. https://www.mantech.co.za/ProductInfo.aspx?Item=310M0159
Opened my laptops battery. All batteries read about 4.08V apart from Batteries 3-4 and 11-12 which read 1.48V and which I want to replace. This battery pack now unobtainium from manufacturer. So 6 batteries for 11.1V 5200mAh and 56 Wh. How do I figure out what maH these individual batteries are...
I am sitting with the same situation with a fanlight that I've changed to led. With incandescents it worked perfectly via the remote but with leds the glow remains. I will be forced to install a wall switch upstream to totally switch it on and off. Bummer

I am still not the guy with enough knowledge to help you. All I can add is lift one leg of diode and retest. I have found diode showing faulty in circuit and then measures OK when removed from circuit

Scope probe HP9060 Current price in SA about $17
So how do you spec a scope? Vertical bandwidth = 15MHz
Horizontal bandwidth = 200kHz
I am still battling to get constant airflow through device.
Current iteration using a...
Thanks Harald
The scope is battery powered which I suppose makes it a bit less risky. Connecting the probe between the green and yellow wires I am starting to see some blips on the scope. But I need constant flow through device , blowing through it is not exactly a constant flow. Now busy...
Thanks Harald
Trying to get it to work. Does the earth wire of the probe go onto the common earth. Black wire?.
@73's de Edd There is also a green wire. It's a 4 pin plug.
Ok then
Newsflash!
I am now the proud owner of this:
But I am still an absoloot noobie when it comes to using this baby so a bit of help on where to connect the 2 bits of the probe will really come in handy.
Before I have to start a new thread on how to fix a scope:(
