    Okay but the inverter will always need to be on anyway to power the STC temperature controller. But does my concept look right anyway with how i connect everything?

    Hm, how would that look like? In my mind the relay will only open up when a 12v signal is sent from the STC therefor there will be no amperage drawn from the powersupply to the relay, is that incorrect? Do you mean like this?
