Advice please ! Need to buy a present for an electronic hobbyist

Hi - this is not my interest but my brother is really into making electrical stuff as a hobby using stuff salvaged from unwanted electronics. What can I buy as a 50th present for him ? Either a choice project or a particular item / motor or whatever that could be a good base to create something? I’m based in New Zealand . Thanks in advance !

Broad question however, everyone whether electrical or electronics needs a "reasonable" quality multimeter.

This (UT139) will suffice provided he keeps to the "indoor" section of any mains related gear (category 3)or just about any electronics.

Think you need to open your eyes.....scrap yards and rubbish dumps are full of the stuff. Haven't noticed it's a throw away society these days, bugger all gets repaired.
