I have over the last few mouths upgrade my alarm system from 4 zones
now I'm upto around 16 zones.. i plan on going up to 23+ zones.. I have
a 5881M using a lot of wireless devices for each window/doors/freezer
temp/line monitor.. and ect.... IT seems to add up fast..

I was wondering, what is the max zones the monitoring company will
accept.. The company I us accects the "contact ID" format for Ademco
pannels... ?

Also, it will take me a while, should I complete all the changes, or
contact them on each change...?

I guess the "max" would be determined by your monitoring company,
Contact ID is technically capable of reporting hundreds of 'points'.

Also, it will take me a while, should I complete all the changes, or
contact them on each change...?

You could do it either way theoretically, if all your new zones are
burglary and require no special response. Of course, if your
monitoring company reports the zone to the police it would help the
responding officer by going to the appropriate location.

Some monitoring companies require data for each point before they will
dispatch - you're better off asking them their procedure.

Does NASA know you're using their computers for your home alarm
project? :~)

They should accept every zone you connect to the panel. Most monitoring
companies charge a flat rate based on the type of service. Very few charge
extra for more zones.
