Basic LED blinker Circuit help

Hello everyone, need some help with this circiut. Used VoltSim to make the diagram just wanted to ask why it isn't blinking in the app, like is there anything wrong with the connections i made? It should blink when vcc is connected to reset? Or it just not a feature the app provides? Or there any values i need to tweak? Screenshot_20250530-143706.jpg

Looks like there's a wire going through the 100k resistor, shorting it..
And the other resistors also look shorted.

UNLESS . . . . . the drawer is being a piss poor draftsman and accuracy proof reader.

For the book in post #2, go to document page 27. The upper schematic is a good example of how to draw a 555 circuit. Make your schematic look like that one and your circuit should work.

What we are seeing as a short could in fact be two overlapping connections. It might be that the resistor needs to be rotated 180 degrees.
