I am new here so had a few questions on a battery pack that I have that needs the batteries replaced. The battery pack has 2 6v 12ah batteries inside in series with some sort of electronic device attaching the positive and negative terminals together on one end, what is this? Secondly, could I just use 1 12v 12ah battery instead of linking 2 6v together? Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you replace it with a single 12V battery, wire a fuse of a similar rating in series with it.

What is written on it?

Edit: ah, it's a polyfuse. Just desolder it and reuse it.

They provide a handy place to connect that polyfuse. Aside from that, not much.
