For LEDs I'd suggest KingBright from Tenrod,
I know they do the common types of IR LEDs.

For large quantities order from electus the wholesale arm of jaycar
but some of the others can do better pricing
depending on the item.
Usually better off ringing than trying to get a price via web or email.
