data transmission losses

hello,
i wanted to know what are the losses if you couple two long transmission wires of different make for dat transmission. the wires are made of copper.transmission in bits.please reply

No one can answer this question. It depends on

• the lengths of the cables
• the quality of the cables
• the quality of the connection between the cables
• the transmitted power
• the sensitivity of the receiver
• the coding scheme used
• etc. etc.
