Hello,

As you know, many components have color codes.
Instructables has collected a lot of info:
https://www.instructables.com/id/From-Resistors-to-ICs-Color-Codes/

When you come accross some vintage components, this picture will help:

Also you can come accross resistors with EN 60062:2005 coding.
These will read as followed:

I hope this will help identifying the components.

For plain resistors have a look at this page:
https://www.diyaudioandvideo.com/Electronics/ResistorColorCodes/
It has also a list of possible colorcodes for E12 and E24.

For the values of E48, E96 and E192 resistors, have a look at the attached PDF.

For capacitor codes, you could have a look at this page:
https://www.electronics-notes.com/a...nents/capacitors/capacitor-codes-markings.php

Hello,

Here is an other smd resistor code page.
It includes also smd resistors with 2 numbers and 1 letter:
It also has a table with size to power for smd resistors.

One thing that sometimes causes confusion with resistor color codes is the 5-band precision resistors. Unlike the 4-band types, the first three bands represent the digits, the fourth is the multiplier, and the fifth is the tolerance.
