Exxis monitor 4174

I have an Exxis monitor 4174Q that is several years old and has become very dark. The brightness setting is up all the way and I can barely see the four cameras feeding into it. How can I replace this monitor and do I need a special type or will any monitor work?

It sounds like it's a CCTV system, and I figure it's color. Are the four cameras each connected directly into the monitor or are they connected to it via another box?
If there's another box feeding only one cable into the monitor then you can get any (NTSC) monitor you like. Observe the kind of contact used for the present monitor.

Thanks for the help. My monitor is black and white. It has four cables going into it. I don't see a "box" attached anywhere.

I've never seen those, and it sounds real old. I think you'll have to buy a 4-channel CCTV system (less cameras). It can even be in the form of a plug-in computer card.
