Hi all, I have a GTX1650 that I am tinkering with. I have found a couple of issues with it. One is broken traces which I can fix but not going to spend the time just yet as also there is what I think is a voltage regulator or something, but the top is missing and cannot identify it. There is another one not far away with marking CE but I know it's not guaranteed to be the same component. Diode readings are similar and pin out seems to be the same. If anyone has any knowledge of these cards or could point me in a direction it would be greatly appreciated.

This is the closest I can find on the SMD database for the one marked CE. Again not sure if the busted one is even the same but pin out seems the same.

Pardon me is this a laptop?
If so, the service manual along with the bom (bill of materials) associated with the and values are listed. It’s like a 100 meg PDF so I can’t upload it here for you
By the way, those traces have been vaporized, unless you disclose more information, I’m afraid you will be SOL because of your inexperience….

No sorry, should have stated. It's a graphics card Nvidia GTX 1650 I think it's a gigabyte brand looking at the fan housing.

I'm not too worried about the traces, they are repairable. Also what is SOL. What information would you suggest I provide to get to the answer I'm looking for.

Burned traces, burned voltage regulator - signs that somewhere else on the graphics card a failure provoked massive overcurrent. You will need to locate and repair that other spot, too.
Without a schematic or service manual imho almost impossible :(

Thanks for the reply, I have checked for shorts to ground on all coils and checked all mosfets on the rails and no shorts. It looked to me that the traces were broken from a slip with a probe or something maybe. Just want to find what that component is and repair the traces and go from there. I cleaned up the traces and scraped them back a little in preparation for repair until I saw the regulator blown. Before that they were just torn through so hopefully not blown out. No black marks or anything just a chunk taken out of the board. Luckily it doesn't look like multiple layers damaged.

I would if I knew what regulator it was, I could just get some of those that I posted at the start and see but wouldn't want anything bad to happen due to it being the wrong one. As stated, without schematic it's nearly impossible to know what that should be. Thanks
