help request for a Xmas game.

We are 8 around the table with one push button and a small LED in front of each one. The first person that push is button will make is own led lite and should disable all others.
It will be better if the led stay on when momentary swith is released.
I want to use a LM3914 DOt display driver. My concern is how to disable any other inputs when one led driver is triggered.

i have done a project just like this, but i found using a Pic 16f84 made it  a lot easer, because then it can make sure none of the other leds come one when one is pressed..  Like a game show buzzer...
