High Voltage Capasitor Testing

How can I test these kind of capacitors in any circuit?Is it at all possible as some suggested to test them with a Insulation Tester/ Megger ? Some Old valve repair tinkerers use a megger for older paper Capacitors.If a person charges the cap to 4000Vdc with a Insulation Tester then read off the resistance and calculate leakage current,would that at least give a indication whether the cap is useable?OR give some advise on how to test them.Thank you.

how would I test such HV caps.

Test for capacity with any capacitance meter. Test for leakage with an insulation tester.

I strongly recommend not to mess with a medical device (such as this machine) unless you're a qualified and possibly certified technician with the right equipment to do the necessary tests before putting the device into service. Otherwise you may be made liable for any damage that may be incurred by a malfunction of the device!
Better have the device inspected and repaired by an expert.
