another proposal that we do have works just like a homing ( did i spell it right??) ;D device.. we wish to implement it to our university to eliminate the need for the checker to go room by room to see if the instructor is in their room in a given time.. we do have a chance to ask our instructor about it, he told us that we need
1. a transmitter ( to be placed in ID "where our group want to put it") that transmit a certain frequency.
2. a receiver/ transmitter place inside a room to receive the transmitted signal, then transmit it again to the receiver in the basestation
3. a receiver in the base station
i know that we will need a micro controller to be able to interface the receiver to the PC. d problem is i dunno what kind of transmitter are we going to use to have a unique frequency per person to help them distinguish their identity.
would a low power transmitter do the job? we need somthing that transmit frequency with a room size range so that it will not interfere with the other room where the same device is installed..
pls help.
