Transformer has 1968 windings and 492 windings (4:1) and the input current is 1 amp. Output current is?
A. 250 mA
B. 4 A
C. 500 mA
D. 2 A

This is from a practice test my teacher made up. The 'correct' answer is B)4 A, but I think it should be A)250 mA. Thoughts? Thank you!

I wish people would not use the term windings for turns.

The transformer has a turns ratio of 4:1 so the voltage will be 4:1 and the current will be 1:4.
It all depends on which winding is the primary. It is not specified in the question.
