Hi,
I'm currently trying to modify a pair of JVC viewfinders (models VF-C7E and
VF-V45E) to accept an external video signal. I've been told that the VF-C7E
viewfinder came from a JVC GR-C7E camera and the VF-V45E came from a JVC
GR-45E camera. Does anyone have a service manual for these cameras? If so,
I'd like a copy of the section that covers the viewfinder, if that's
possible. Failing that, pinouts would be REALLY useful...

Thanks,

Pinouts

Hi, I'm doing the same but only have one - I need a second viewfinder.

red: + 9vdc
black: Power Gnd and Video Gnd
White: Video in.

yellow: SVID (unknown)
Brown: SVID (unknown)

it seems to work ok just using the white, but you can check pinouts.ru for information on a composite to svid adaptor.

I beleive one of the two remaining will need to be ground and one will need a 47pf capacitor (ceramic) across the video signal.

but again, I'm not bothering as it works well using composite on the white.

If you can point me to a source where i might find another identical viewfinder it would be great.
