Does anyone have data on the demo board from Natl Semi's LM3914, it has Pads along one edge, for mounting a few external components, but all 10 green led's are already mounted on board, and the IC is the type under a drop of epoxy, I have the IC's data, but no data on the small demo board

I have some NSM3915 modules that are about 46 years old. The LEDs are dim and are red.

Is this a multilayer board audioguru? What is the purpose of those features that look like vias?
This IC packaging technique reminded me of those old grey Tetris handheld games with a little bump between the buttons and screen. Their ASIC was packed in the same way.

The small pcb is single-sided. I used the vias and some edge contacts to dimmly light all LEDs then the signal caused them to get brighter.
