Monitoring inputs and getting alerts on my phone

Hi guys, I had my Circuit breaker trip twice while away visiting family coming home both times to rotting chicken and fish in my freezer. The first time I was away for 6 weeks. Anyway I'm a bit paranoid to leave my caravan these days but if I am able to get an alert on my phone when the Breaker trips It would feel alot better.
I have a 280 Ah battery hooked to solar that will run a router and a Microprocessor 24/7 no problems. I'm going to use a 240V relay to change the state of a input. But what should I use to monitor the the relay contact and send an alert to my phone?

It wouldn't mind hooking reed switches to it as well for security.

On the pump stations, we used a phone dialler that would ring a predetermined number of people until an answer was received.
I'm certain there would be a modern day equivalent available nowadays.

Obviously you would need access to a landline or be within range of some phone network.
Then you'd require the recepient to answer.
In the old days, we would simply get a neighbour to check once a day or so.

Another option given the above phone network access, would be to train a basic home security camera on the alarm light.

I think there’s a pattern developing here. They’re onto you and throwing a party every time you go. Have you ever tried MRE’s?
A lot of people like them, but they’re not really my ting

Yes the camera idea might work but I would have to remember to check it every hour. not ideal for me.

Use IFTTT service, MQTT running on an ESP8266 or ESP32. Tons of designs on web doing this.
It will send a SMS to your phone triggered by your code. I use Tuniot to do the code,
keeps one out of the weeds and quick design.

Nodered also an excellent way oif doing MQTT. Just google "Nodered MQTT"

Why...?

Freezers will hold temp for 12 hours at least while lid is closed.

Some things can be automated while others are just totally over the top and belong with Flash Gordon.
