Hey everyone i have a 45 inch mistubishi vs-4506 projection tv. It
worked fine for a good amount of time then a few months ago it would
not turn on completely and would display a red, blue, and a green line
(as soon as i saw that i shut it off thinking that it would burn into
the tubes) Before that happend the set's picture would "vertically
pinch" Today i plugged it in and it worked for for about an hour. Once
it got around an hour the picture from the rca input blacked out, and
the audio became very loud. The on screen display was still visible
when this happend. Sometimes turning the set off and on will correct
the problem for a couple of mins. I was wondering if anyone has any
idea what could be causing these problems. Im guessing since its old
that the caps are starting to go if they havent already.
Id really appreciate if someone could give me some tips on what
caps/solder joints and other stuff to check out. Thanks alot
