Hi, fellow electronics experts,

Has anyone got a model for this timer chip? I've had a sniff around
Google but the only ones I've come across have all been inchoate in
some way.

Tahnks,

As in "incomplete." BTW, it's gone midnight here now and the
temperature's still up around 70 degrees following a high of 95 this
afternoon. I'm gonna hit the sack. Don't expect to sleep, though. We
just ain't used to it! :-(

I know what the word means. Why do you say "incomplete"?

70 degrees? That's cooool ;-)

It's 108°F here right now (4:19PM), but the humidity is only 15%.

Why is it that Democrats can't debate politely?
And are only rude and interruptive.
Lack of mental capacity?

Tahnks,

Try one of the following, which I use in CircuitMaker Pro. BTW, you'll
find this same reply in several of the 41 hits you'll get by entering
555 "spice model" group:sci.electronics.*
in google news.

Interesting. I never thought of Googling for it that way. Must make a
mental note of it.
Ta for the model, BTW.

I know what the word means. Why do you say "incomplete"?

Because the models I've seen come with the caveat that they are;
usually some vague reference to unspecified characteristics of the
chip. I can't take a chance on that; it might be the bit I'm
interested in.

LTspice contains two 555 timers. One is an idealized macromodel
written in its own digital library (symbol name NE555) and the other
is a transistor level circuit in examples/Educational/NE555.asc

Thanks, Mike. I installed Win2kpro the other week and it wiped out a
load of applications stuff that I'm still trying to reserect on a
piecemeal basis. I imagine the LT libary got corrupted back then as
well. Still, it's about time I re-installed the latest available
d/load anyway.
