Password Reset - PDR-44C1-V

Someone gave me an old CCTV recorder, a Pinnacle model PDR-44C1-V, in working condition. It does not have a Remote.
I need to Reset the DVR to factory settings for further use. I have searched the web, but all the suggested passwords - 000000, 123456, 111111, 222222, .. have not been successful.
I could see no Reset Buttons or jumpers for resetting.
Any help is welcome.

Does the unit (not missing remote) have a ‘mode’ and ‘ptz’ button?. Most if not all DVRs have a sequence of buttons for a factory reset.
Can you access the menu without the remote?, some can and others can’t.
If no jumpers are available, have you tried removing the CMOS battery?.
I will search my old laptops over the next few evenings as I have hundreds of user manuals for older CCTV and DVRs.
Also, silly I know, but I am sure you tried 4 numbers as well as 6? And also reversed them?. 1234 ... 4321 .... user..... admin etc.
