Many folks on this group have referred at times to the writings and
inventions of P.J. Baxandall.

Sadly, I wasn't collecting Electronics World as a youth, and neither
(evidently) was my local library. Are Baxandall's writings (at least on
audio) collected anywhere? Is there the equivalent of Douglas Self's "Self
On Audio"?

I tried to get the Audio Engineering Society interested in such a
project. There was a rumour that someone was planning to publish a
'collected works', but AFAIK it came to nothing. A great pity.

That is indeed a great pity. When was that? Do you know if it even got as
far as coming up with a list of publications? Even a Baxandall bibliography
would be a nice start, then I could start collecting reprints myself.

About 5 years ago, I think.

Not as far as I know. No-one volunteered to do anything towards it,
because of the rumour that someone was already doing it. But I have
heard no more.
