BTW, this project is really more about fabrication project than electronics but sometimes coming up with a suitable case is the hardest part.

Hello there Mr sidecar Bob I have enjoyed your posts on all about circuits.
Forgive me but have you tried 3D printing?

I have a neighbour who is very into 3D printing and he does the odd print for me. I thought about asking him to do the trim rings but it was more fun to make them from sheet.
