I don't care if they can see me, find me or see my metadata on searches. I have nothing to be ashamed of or to hide.

Neither do I, or at least I think so.
But do you have an idea what they can do with your data? They or anyone who breaks into their systems and steals the data (fortunately this has never happened before ).

It seems more and more systems now have what amounts to a simple choice, access everything & synch everything, or not function.

I regularly delete my browser data. Not perfect but better than nothing. Only nuisance: have to log anew in to various services.
