Anyone out there know how to defeat the installer lockout on DSC power
832,1555,864 panels. I have a bunch that I've removed and I don't want to
have to return them to DSC to get unlocked. Any ideas?

If you're in the US, then Jim Rojas at http://www.tech-man.com can help. If
you're in Canada, Robert Campbell's your man... http://www.homemetal.com.

Well first off, DSC won't take back locked boards. They have gone so far as
to issue special devices to Tried outlets that will determine whether the
board is locked or not...(it clicks on power up). Depending upon where you
are physically located, you will have to send the boards away to someone to
have them unlocked via special techniques and equipment not commonly
available. Average cost about $20 each.

Three sites I know of....USA: Jim Rojas at www.tech-man.com
Eastern Canada...yours truly at www.homemetal.com
Western Canada...Action Jackson at www.unlockservices.com

Where did you and your two peers learn of this unlocking technique? Did one
of you learn it and franchise it off to the other two or what? How is it
that only three people in North America know this trick?

Odd, must have been a keypad malfunction or garbled during transmission,
I'll have that checked
