Sansui Receiver R-30
Power trannie burnt out in the primary
Traced to shorted output transistors in one channel
BD 203 and BD 204

I replaced them with TIP 31A and TIP 32A
(Also replaced power trannie of course)

After playing for a couple of days the BD 203 and BD 204 in the other
channel went short and took out the mains fuse.
Replaced these with 2 more TIP 31A TIP 32A

Was it bad to leave one channel with BD 203 BD 204 and the other with TIP
31A TIP 32A

This model is kind of notorious for repeated failures. I would recommend
replacing the bias transistor, and adjusting the bias to about 10 millivolts
as measured across the emitter resistor pair.
Personally I would stick with original type output transistors as well.
